[Resolved]  Janet Nursing Home — Irresponsible delivery process

Address: Tamil Nadu
Website: janetnursinghome.com/

Dont take risk on you new born baby.

I request you all, pls dont go to Janet nursing home for any kind of treatment, especially for Delivery. They are very irresponsible.

I admitted my wife in JANET nursing home, Puthur, Trichy, Tamilnadu. It was our first child. We were checking my wife from the day 1 of pregnancy upto the delvery. Dr.Susheela devi was handling our case. But the delivery was done by another doctor named Dr.Victoria jonston. She used forceps for my wife which is not being used in most of the hospitals now days..and she roughly pulled my child which resulted in ERB'S PALSY..

Erb's palsy is a problem of nerve damage. for my son, his hand nurves got cut due to heavy force applied on his hand. (They pulled him in such a way) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erb's_palsy

Before going to labor ward, my wife asked the staff nurse to check for weight but the staff refused it. If she would have done, they would have the baby weight and gone for better delivery process. but they handled with lazy hands and it resulted in SAD.

As I enquired, using forceps is a old and bad concept in delivery. But they do it very casually and don't care about its impact on babies. we were ready for cesarean delivery also, because our goal to get mother and baby safely. but they never told us the issue and never discussed the status. they not even discussed anything with my mother and my wife's mother.

If doctor told about the risk in normal delivery and gave an option, surely we would have gone for cesarean. But doctors didn't give option and never talked about the risk. they took their own decision and spoiled my son's life.

My wife delivered a beautiful baby boy with 3.7Kg weight as normal delivery. But sadly his left hand was not functioning. Doctor didn't notice that but our relatives noticed and conveyed this to the doctor. They said It will be cured automatically. But there was not improvements upto 3 months. Then we discovered the issue, Its Erb's palsy which is is a paralysis of the arm caused by injury to the upper group of the arm's main nerves.

Not only child, My wife also face many problems because of their irresponsible treatment even though its a normal delivery.

We checked with various famous doctors in Trichy and Chennai. We were doing physiotherapy treatment from 1st month. Finally we were told that surgery is the only option to cure it, but doctors didnt assure for 100% recovery but only upto 70% recovery. We were upset and we had no choice other than surgery.

Our baby undergone a surgery (Nerve transplant) in a famous hospital in chennai in his 6th month. We spent around 1 lakhs for the surgery and still we are doing check ups once in 3 months. since his birth, we have spend around 5 lakhs for this treatment itself. Till today we are taking him to physiotherapy hospital and it costs nearly 300 per day since his 1st month. But his recovery status is jst under 70%. He is 2 years old now and still he cant use his left hand completley.

We dont know how long we should do the treatment. Our total family is completely upset abt this. We suggest you all not to go for Janet, They are famous jst in name but not in work. Still i can see crowd in the hospital. also I've heard so many kids are having same problem born in that hospital.
More money and time is required for this treatment but many ppl cant continue such treatment due to cost and time spending on it.

Once again I request you all, pls dont go to Janet for any kind of treatment. They dont worry about mothers and kids. For them they are just patients but for us our baby is everything.

Same incident happened to my cousin brother's new born baby on March 14, 2014 in the same hospital. But the baby is no more. The baby had blood stains on the forehead due to the forceps used by the people who where there in the labor ward. I[censored]sing forceps is not advised then these people should be punished.

Hello everyone, I can understand your queries but lack of medical knowledge and common sense u can't shout out of anger
Forceps are still practicing in many hospitals who wanted to make a normal delivery practice, who don't want to loot ur pocket with unnecessary cesarean delivery,
If the baby unable to deliver his head by normal induction given by mother then it's gonna suffocate and die inside, then u need to take immediate action to save it through forceps or vaccum assisted delivery, accidents happen it's not in our hands
The genet hospital was irresponsible stafs and money minder doctor .the hospital stafs no response with my parrents. ###. Please don’t go this hospital
