3. Description of the Issue:
I was required to pay 1053 Euros for the repair or replacement of a damaged mattress during my stay at a Munich hotel. Despite providing all required documentation, including an invoice and confirmation from the hotel that no police report was filed, my claim was unjustly declined by ICICI Lombard.
4. Actions Taken:
Escalated the Issue: Contacted the National Consumer Helpline for assistance.
Insurance Company Response: Claim declined without a satisfactory explanation.
Communication with Insurance Company: Multiple follow-ups have been made with no resolution.
5. Request for Assistance:
I request the following actions to be taken:
Re-evaluation of My Insurance Claim: Considering the complete documentation provided, I urge the authorities to review and rectify the unjust denial of my claim.
Reimbursement of 1053 Euros: The amount paid for the incident needs to be reimbursed as per the terms of the insurance policy.
Compensation for Stress and Delay: Given the prolonged and stressful process, appropriate compensation should be considered.
I have faced significant mental and financial stress due to this unresolved issue and seek immediate intervention to resolve the matter. I request the Government of India to assist in addressing this grievance and ensure that justice is served.
