I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the mishandling and suspected theft of items from my parcel, which was sent through Indian Post. My experience has been extremely distressing and disappointing, raising serious concerns about the reliability and security of the postal service.

Upon receiving my parcel, several items were missing, despite having properly packed them before dispatch. Additionally, the packaging of the parcel had been changed, indicating that it had been tampered with during transit.
To add to my frustration, the tracking information showed that once the parcel reached its destination city, it was inexplicably moved to another city for two days before being redirected back for delivery. This unexplained detour not only delayed the delivery but also raises questions about the security protocols followed by the postal service.
Interaction with Customer Support:
When I contacted Indian Post customer support to inquire about this issue, the response I received was both rude and vague. The representatives provided no satisfactory explanation for the detour of my parcel or the missing items. Their dismissive attitude only added to my frustration and disappointment.
Local Post Office Response:
I also visited the nearest post office to seek assistance. However, the staff there claimed they could not provide any information regarding why my parcel was redirected to another city after reaching the destination city. Their inability to offer any help or explanation further highlights the inefficiency and lack of accountability within the postal system.

This experience has severely shaken my trust in the reliability of government postal services. As a common citizen, I rely on Indian Post for the secure and timely delivery of my parcels. o Provide any records or reports of inspections or incidents related to this parcel.
3. Parcel Weight at Different Stops:
o Please provide the weight of the parcel recorded at each stop or transit point from the origin to the final delivery.
o If weight records are not maintained at all stops, provide the weight records that are available other than recorded weight at the source.
4. Measures and Protocols:
o What measures will be taken to ensure such incidents do not occur in the future?
o Outline the standard protocols followed for the handling and security of parcels, especially those involving detours.
Should I lodge a FIR for this incident. It is really a very bad experience from indian speed post. I have also registered the complaint on india post portal.
