CG[protected]DE is my tracking number and i am also in same situation my package reached india on 03/10/17 and on 14/10/17 reached customs and Retention Reason : Retained by customs for unspecified reason and i have no clue whats going on customs are not giving me any information neither India Post or Dhl i have lost hopes.

People...if your parcel is stuck contact Mumbai EMS call them on their number. they will give a new phone number based on the country you have imported the product. Call that number and obtain "Retention number " of your article. They will than ask you to call a new number and talk to guy giving your retention number. They than ask you to send proof of purchase and release your parcel if it has no objection for import in India... Procedure I long but these guys were very fast to resolve this...I got my parcel after 3 day once I speak to them.

I have same problem. Tried to call but none pick it. Now after 20 days it says Retained by border agency. I don't know what to do.

I also have the same problem. for 15 days it was retained by customs for unspecified reasons. And now it says retained by BORDER AGENCY / SECU.

What is the meaning of this? Who is the border agency at videsh dak bhavan, Mumbai.

i got a call from 96253 654** saying that, they are from customs department and asking about the site where i purchased( aliexpress) and amount 288$,

they are asking to pay 8064, which is 40% on the actual price

i suspect its a fake call, but when i check in tracking order i found that retained with unspecified reason

first it reached to singapore to chenni, then now it is showing mumbai.

Do we really need to pay 40% fee to import mobile.
