Urgent Resolution Required: Delay in Providing Gas Meter Connection
Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing to bring to your attention the inordinate delays and lack of professionalism exhibited by the staff responsible for providing gas meter connections for my IGL gas connection applications, BP numbers [protected] and [protected]. Despite applying in August 2024 and multiple follow-ups, the issue remains unresolved.
Initially, the gas point was installed outside my residence, but the meter connection has not been provided to date. I have made repeated attempts to get the matter addressed, only to encounter excuses such as:
- "The concerned staff is on leave."
- "The required materials (pipes, etc.) are unavailable."
- "You need to contact another person for assistance," who, in turn, claims their team is also unavailable.
On one occasion, a technician visited my residence to install the meter but left stating he could not complete the installation, offering no further explanation or alternative resolution.
This lack of accountability and delay is causing me significant inconvenience and appears to reflect poorly on the efficiency of your services. Such behavior is unacceptable for a public utility service.
I request you to:
1. Expedite the installation of the gas meter at my residence without any further delays.
2. Conduct an inquiry into the unprofessional conduct of the concerned staff.
3. Ensure necessary steps are taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
I trust you will take immediate action to resolve this matter. Should this issue remain unresolved, I will be compelled to escalate it further to higher authorities and consumer grievance forums.
