Infosys — Did not receive offer letter

Hello all,

I have been interviewed for a position for infosys.I cleared tehcnical interview and submitted all the documents they asked me to. I got a call from one of infosys team to discuss about package. My package back then was 4 lpa and I already have an offer with 7 lakhs so I am expecting 9 lpa, but she mentioned that she wont be able to give more than 7. I tried to negotiate but no luck, so I agreed with 7 lpa.

After few days she called me back and mentioned that she cant provide more than 5.5 lpa as it is maximum account can provide. The same repeated, I tried to negotiate, she mentioned that if I was not ok with 5.5 lpa, then my process will be ended from here. I dont have any other option, so said okay fine, I am good with 6. She said fine, I will proceed with 5.5.

After few more days, she called and mentioned, sorry we cant procced further, we need more experienced persons. Till here I am disappointed but fine. Then I received a mail like this from her------

Hi ----,

Thank you for taking the time to interview with Infosys.

We regret to inform you that currently we are unable to meet your expectations and will not be able to proceed further with your application.

We will, however, save your profile in our database and will connect with you (Candidate ID: ----) if there is a relevant opportunity in future.

We wish you the best in your professional endeavors.

Seriously??? Expectations??? I am okay with 5.5 lpa and no joining bonus. I was soo helpless and wrote a reply mail

Hello Team,

Greetings of the day

This is regarding the call I received from ----- from Infosys team. I have been told that I need more relevant experience, hence I am not allowed to proceed further. But in this email I can see “ we are unable to meet your expectations ".

Could you please clarify me with the correct reason for this. Additionally I have also mentioned that I am completely fine with package of 5.5 lakhs per annum.
