Dear Sir,
I had to face this on Mirjapur Station in UP. Here on Platform No. 3, IRCTC have given a stall for Jalpan Griha. This place was written Water @ Rs. 15/- on its board. When I asked for cold water they gave me Kinley Cold water and charged Rs. 20/- when Rs. 15/- was printer as MRP on the bottle. When I asked for the reason, they just said, Kinley is charged for Rs. 20/- only, else you can have local water which is also bottled.
I have to leave the scene as my train was about to depart from the station. These guys are charging too high on hot summer when we don't have any choice other than to pay and leave. I urge IRCTC to take appropriate action against these goons who take advantage of the hottest summer and little time from Passengers to argue for the rates.
I don't have any such proof on this. But this can be verified if a person unknown to them is sent at noon time on any day and ask for any branded water.
Thanks & Regards,
