Fake Bonus calls
Hi,
On dt 8 April 2016, at about 15.00 hr, I received a call from [protected], new Delhi. Person name Jatin Malhotra, (may be wrong name) that, I m from head office of HDFC life insu. Comp., you are loosing Bonus due to your insu. Agent has not gave u service, and not informed to u. only two days are left to claim bonus otherwise u will loose bonus of rs50000/-.My officer will contact u after one hr.He gave me all details of my hdfc life insu .policy. and it was correct.
After two hr, another person, name V K Raghavan (May be wrong name), from [protected], told me I m officer in irda and, I will make complaint against your agent Mr………( he gave correct name of agent ).in IRDA dptt, for not giving u service and due to that u r in lost of bonus of Rs 50000/-. Only two days r left, i[censored] send me self attested copies of policy documents and your IDs, photo, one cheque duly signed and cancelled, and another blank cheque without sign. urgently to my office, u can get bonus 50000/-. Also he said that there should be minimum balance of rs.200000/-in Bank account, to show that u r in capacity to pay remaining premiums.
He gave me list of documents, and address where to send documents
Address was- To Mr.Pankaj, surya complex, G-01 1st flr, rohini, sec 27, parladpur, new delhi 110085.
I searched address on google, but not confirmed. I called him, but he said it is correct, u send, Mr Pankaj will receive.
I started to collect all documents as time was less, it was 17.00hr, I tried to send by DHL courier. He told me to send only by Trackon courier. Finally I sent by Trackon courier at about 18.30 hr. courior was delivered on 9 april, at 17.oo, to mr. Pankaj, mob. No. incorrect.
Then after, he often and often called me for bank balance, to keep for three days in account. I told, ok I will do.
At night time, I searched in IRDA sites, I found so many fake calls scandals, same types, fake bonus calls instances.
On 9 and 10 April, bank holidays. i got calls on holidays also., I asked for office name, land line tele no., fax no etc. he gave me wrong tele. nos. hence I doubt that these are fake calls. On early morning of 11 April, I went to ATM and withdrawn 25000., and remaining withdrew by cheque in early morning. then I made stop payment of blank cheque immediately, And thus I became safe.
I got so many calls from both persons, I told that I m going to balance 200000- in my ac., meanwhile I did all.
In this, courier boy is also working for these people, as he delivered to them, even address is wrong.
