I am a respectable flat owner of Jaswanti Garden Co-operative Housing Society, Malad west. Recently the Managing Committee passed a rule that the members will have to pay leakage charges which will be inspected by the watchman of the building. On the basis of doubt, the watchman visited our flat when a member had already occupied the bathroom. However, just to be sure on my end, we checked the pipeline connection from our house and also called a plumber to inspect it. He couldn't detect any such flaws. We informed the Managing committee about it. Still they went ahead with the charges on the basis that the watchman was not allowed in the flat and so charges are justified.
My complaint is that I donot feel that the charges are justified because when the watchman did not enter the flat, how was the leakage detected by them?
Despite repeated requests, nobody from the committee came to inspect the flat, not even the watchman did
The committee has made up its mind to go ahead with the charges on no grounds, no proof against us and I am being forced to pay a penalty for leakage that has not even happened from my flat
Kind;y take appropriate actions against this harassment at the earliest Was this information helpful? |
