From Flipkart, I have purchased a “Kaff Lyra DHC60 Auto Clean Wall Mounted Chimney” on April 22, 2022 along with many other electronic Appliances/Products for my new home. Everything working perfectly file except the KAFF CHMINEY, which started giving too many troubles in just little over a year. Every time I call, Kaff executives have only one answer, we are escalating the request. I have raised several tickets, the latest Request Number[protected]Case ID[protected] again on April 28th 2024 and when I am filing this complaint on June 5, 2024, No service yet. My Chimney stopped working (Motor Started making cranky sound) around mid-November, 2023 and afterward created several tickets, sent multiple mails to: [protected]@kaff.in and made several calls Customer care:[protected] and even call to direct service technicians, but there is not proper service provided. This is when, the KAFF offers 5 years MOTOR warranty. 1. On 18th November, 2023, I created First Service Ticket:[protected] and was expecting a quick service so the working Chimney can save my home and other products from damaging from OIL. After a few days an untrained Technician came and after his analysis he replaced the condenser - Charged Rupees 750. Within a few days after this repair, Chimney again stopped working and same technician visited and claimed that the Motor is not working and took the Motor for replacement. They took almost a month to get the replacement (which I observed that Motor was heavily used and not tested by company before putting in my Chimney) and fix. 2. Within a few days after the Motor replacement, it stopped working again with old issue. So, I created another new Service Ticket:[protected] on December 15. 2015. After multiple follow-ups, the 2 new technicians came and mentioned that some MCV electric boards were not functioning. They took this back for repair/replacement and fixed it after a month around January 2nd week. 3. Immediate after MCV board change, the same issue started, hence I had no choice but to create another Service Request Number[protected] on January 15, 2024. A technician finally visited on February 2, 2024 and found the Faulty MOTOR (Seems duplicate badly used MOTOR) was fit during earlier repair and changed it again. It worked for just 24 Hours and suddenly stopped keeping the glass lid open. Again, request another Service Request Number[protected]Case ID:[protected] on February 5, 2024. This Ticket also got escalated multiple times as per service executive, but repair service was provided after more than a month around April 2nd week. Chimney worked hardly 2 weeks and then slowly the glass lid stopped working and lastly the complete Chimney stopped functioning. With all frustration on April 28, 2024 created fifth Service Ticket:[protected]Case ID[protected]. But even after a month no one called or provided any service, hence called Customer Service and got another Service Ticket:[protected] On May 27, 2024. On May 29, 2024, Same Technician visited along with another Technician and claimed that this MOTOR is not working again and tired to replace/fix the Chimney. Also blamed the Electricity wiring and power cut for the Chimney issue and asked to put Stabilizer. After their 2-3 hours of repair effort, they left and committed to come back with different Motor om May 30, 2024. But until June, 5, 2024 no response yet. To solve this issue, I was even ready to try this option too, but don’t believe KAFF service anymore, hence bit hesitant as they have tried all possible way to fix and replaced everything except outer box. Just to In My old home, I have used earlier 2-3 different Brand Chimneys and have never seen Stabilizer or even heard that Chimney need Stabilizer. Also, as stated in my note, in this house, I have Microwave, AC, LED TV, Refrigerator, PlayStation Gaming Console and many more new Appliances but have not faced any issue. All works perfectly. I got my house just 2 years ago and everything is new including KAFF CHIMNEY & HOB. But now, my kitchen and surroundings have become OILY & Messy everywhere as since November 2023 the CHIMNEY is not working at all, and is almost dead. KAFF Technicians claimed that they had fixed 15 more KAFF Chimneys at my apartment complex and had no issues. But these were all different models and no single Chimney model what I have. This gives me clear idea that either this my particular Piece/Model has Factory Manufacturing Defect itself or Their untrained Technician damaged it fully. As stated above, I can’t take any more chance to see that my other household products are getting damaged due to OIL. Having said that, I demand a complete refund of Rupees 15299 so I can buy a new Chimney Plus damage cover of rupees 15k. Or or replacement with a better model along with damage cover. I request this forum to please help me to fix this asap to avoid any more damages and mess in my house due to OIL.
