Sir,
Today at around 0130pm i availed a yellow taxi from uttam kumar metro station to travel to no 1 gate of kolkata airport. On reaching my destination i found to my dismay the fare displayed in the taxi meter was rs 618/- against a distance of 42.5 kms against the normal fare of approximately rs 420/- for a distance of 27kms. The taxi driver refused to provide me with a receipt of the fare stating that the printer was out of order. It is obvious that the meter is heavily manipulated and i request your good office to take necessary action to ensure no other passengers are cheated, with immediate effect.
