Mohali Traffic Police — Franco hotel phase 1 mohali signal light rules
Vehicles don't stop at red light. People donot care about red light. And it's very crowd place. It's very very difficult to cross the road for pedestrain. Last evening at 5.30pm I got challaned for violating
red lights at Balongi barrier light point, whereas it was still green when I crossed Stop Line. And there are around 5 or 6 vehicle behind my bike and traffic police constable only stooped me and all other vehicle which are behind my bike let them go. Mohali Police is issuing False challans to completing their targets and to show their good performance.If anyone asking to him about that they can treating rudely and add extra 1 or 2 false challans in it, do something with that kind of issue otherwise people will lose faith in police (specially to mohali police).

Traffic light near Quarkcity, Industrial area, Phase - 8, Mohali is not working from last 4 days and more over the bikers (I am also a biker) who are driving rash from either sides is very dangerous.

yes you are right, i am also staying at phase 10 mohali, normally i seen this incidecne in this area..the traffic police of Phase 10 is MOTE TAZE SHER ...who looks murga in whole day to full fill their pocket...

It is true, I have been into the same situation yesterday 11/01/2015 1600 Hrs, Traffic police is unnecessarily cutting challans and harassing general public,
I have just on Stopped on Orange light before red light, But challan was unnecessarily cut. i got challaned for violating Rules. We Are Three person's On bike In 8 phase industrial area. inspector in PCR Stop us.. They Make 3 Challan .. 1. Tripple Ride. 2. 3rd person Without Helmate. 3. Dangerous Driving.

Subject: Complaint against wrong traffic Challan # 915208 dated 16.06.2016 u/s 79 regarding pollution issued on the behest of bribe for Rs. 300/-
Respected sir,
Myself Dr. Neeraj Kumar is a teacher working in Mohali. Today, I was coming way back to home and I was stopped by a traffic Police Person Mr. Haut Singh (LIC # 397) near to Sohana Hospital toward Landran road at the time nearly 5.45pm and was asked to show the papers of my bike (Honda Shine). I showed all papers like DL, RC, Insurance and pollution certificate.
During the inspection of these papers, traffic police person demanded Rs. 300/- which I found very unreasonable as I was having all papers in order. Due to this, traffic Police Person got annoyed and tore/thrown my latest pollution certificate and asked me either give me Rs. 300/- or I will challan which will cost you Rs. 1000/- in mohali court. With no option left, I asked him to go ahead and thus he issued me a challan#915208 dated 16.06.2016 u/s 79 regarding pollution.
It is humbly submitted that I had complete papers and also previous pollution certificate for above said bike still I was issued this challan because I could not fulfill his demand of Rs. 300/-. To show the genuineness in the matter, I would like to submit both document i.e. 1) a copy of the Challan and 2) a fresh pollution certificate well within the limit of my bike of the same date which tell the story itself.
Thus you are kindly requested to look into the matter and take appropriate action in time bound manner so that genuine citizen of this city should not suffer in the hand of corrupts because of denial to the bribe.

same is happened with me on 22/5/18...Iam having all documents like pollotions certificate... RC...Valid 3rd party insurance..valud licence...Police man Gurminder singh and Anand Balav ...denied to take my licence by giving folish reason that signature on D.L is not in green color pen ...by authorised signatory...They both behaved very rude with me...Their language was untolerable ...ask for bribe of 200 rupees...At same time I crossed lights of niper and phase 9 dividing road when a Dzire car crossed To whom Above said police officers allow to go by taking some money from them...Trust on Mohali police and punjab police is zero now...They don't know how to talk with ladies...Request to Senior officer to action against these officers ...Need training ...so that They respect ladies...And give time to show valid papers instead of challaning...

Nobody cares. We our a part of a corrupt nation. Same happened with me, I was challaned on a slip road and on the chalan it was mentioned jumping red light. Bad bad cops but nobody cares. It is a false system. I never in my life jumped lights, I have lost all my hopes in this system.
