I had placed an order on July 17, 2022 in the website https://lowcosts.in/ for JBL Stage Action Pack 5 - 7.1.2 Channel. The price listed in the website was Rs. 4, 999/- and I made the payment as well. After making the payment, the website showed the order # 69915, dated July 17, 2022.
The website collected my email, address and phone number while placing the order but did not send any acknowledgement or order status after the payment was made.
I have been trying the number mentioned in the website: +[protected] repeatedly, but it has been switched off all along.
I have also written to help.[protected]@gmail.com but no response has been received till now.
On further research, based on my bank's payment acknowledgement message, I could deduce that https://lowcosts.in/ and Lazzuria fashion are the same. Specifically, my bank's payment acknowledgement message mentioned that the payment was made to LAZZURIAFASHIONpayTM.
I think that this whole thing is a scam where the website lists highly discounted products, making a potential customer fall for it and purchase.
I have two requests:
1. The amount Rs. 4, 999/- paid by me to LAZZURIAFASHIONpayTM should be immediately refunded to me.
2. As per consumer protection rules 2020 (e-commerce), stringent actions should be initiated against the fraudulent owner of the website and all such websites should be monitored by regulatory bodies and closed so that more people do not fall for it.
