The reason I am writing this email to you is to clarify my doubts regarding formalities to apply for a Death Certificate from our local Nagar Nigam office.
I am from Alambagh Lucknow and my local Nagar Nigam office is in Alambagh too. I have applied for my Mother’s Death Certificate. Documents have been attached here for reference.
Please help me understand the procedure to apply for Death Certificate and required fee for the same. The reason I am asking this question is because while submitting the documents I was asked to pay amount whatever I wish to ( not the fees). So I further queried and asked for the actual fees and told that I will pay only the actual fees and need its receiving too. The staff denied saying- Submit the documents and then the team will enquire. Once enquiry is completed you will have to visit office submit money and then take the certificate. So I submitted the documents and walked out. I am not sure what and how the process will work.
Please help me understand the process. No acknowledgement number is provided for document submission. I have no idea how long the process will take to proceed further and how can I enquire further. Please guide.
