Before the trip: received the air ticket by e-mail but the tickets did not have any baggage allowance mentioned. There was no contact person assigned to us. We got fed up trying to reach them through their call centre, some time for more than one hour, and when the guy/lady could not give any suitable answer they just hung up. And every time on a query they would say it will be confirmed by email but it never happened.
No dedicated person/phone no.: could not communicate with any one before the trip, one has to wait several hours to get through to their call centre numbers and ultimately hear the assurance that your concerns would be addressed by e-mail, but the email never came.
Air travel: cheapest budget airlines, (Malindo air) horrible foods not enough units for everyone. If you fall asleep they ignore you, & when woke up and asked for your food, you are told the food is finished.
After reaching bali: were taken to hotel spazzio. But from the sight of the hotel it looked like a dharamshala. The alleyways were dirty cheaply painted, dimly light rooms, only one electrical point in the whole room taken away by the small fridge provided for this booking, no bathroom supplies, dirty and ragged towels making you feel dirty. The worst part was the breakfast, it made one feel like a beggar at langar. Fed up with the hotel we booked another decent hotel called dushit at our own expenses rs.7500/- per family per day for rest two days.
Day one: one girl arrived with a car and took us (Along with our luggage) to a temple and tour finished in 4 hours. We were dropped at our new hotel dushit at around 3pm.
Day two: on our own
Day three: we were taken for water sport. Just because one o[censored]s did not go, while returning they put another family in our car, so we had to squeeze ourselves. From that family we came to know that make my trip had sent a person to their home, as they had not paid the entire money, to organise their trip and they paid their money only after everything about the trip was spelt out to them.in our case we paid the entire amount on line while booking the trip.
Day four: car came to the hotel and took us to uluwata temple, and sunset viewing. The lady guide did not accompany us to the temple tour as she said she was having her period. So we tried to listen to other guide with other group. However after the sunset viewing we were taken to the new hotel at seminyak. The hotel looked ok from outside, but once we reached the rooms we were set out for another shock. The only small window was covered by a wall only 2 feet away. There were no fridge in the room, we had to demand at the reception to get one. However the breakfast was decent. The room that we were put in was the cheapest in that hotel. We tried to change our rooms by paying extra money but they had none to offer.
Day five & six: both the days we booked our own trips only us$ 20 per day for both families of 6 adults for a 8 seater toyta vehicle for 10 hours a day. We had a gala trip on our own for just us$ 40/- for two days.
Day seven: one would think our ordeal is now over, but wait. Day seven morning there was a letter attached to each of our room door handles saying to wait at the lobby for airoort drop at 9 am. Accordingly we finished our breakfast in time, and to our surprise they came with a small car for only one family. We waited for more than one hour as the guy said one more car is on the way, but after about an hour we insisted that they arrange for a taxi as we were getting late for the flight. Ultimately the guy arranged a taxi and we were dropped at the airport just in time.
Conclusion: we shall never ever involve “make my trip” in our travel and holiday and would advise our friends, relatives, acquaintances not to travel/holidaying with this horrible organisation.
