MakeMyTrip.com is living upto their caption – Memories Unlimited.
They have been making my memories Unlimited ( worst in my case).
Narrating a worst experience with so called No-1 Travel site in India.
I booked Flight from makemytrip on 2nd Aug’2014 for nov-Dec’14 to be part of my brother’s wedding.
The Flight timing was, departure at 11:15 am from Bangalore (27th Nov ) to arrival in Indore at 1:10pm.
From there, I was to board train at 4pm (keeping gap of close to 3 hours after arriving Indore) for Kota, my native place.
After 4 days, I got SMS from makemytrip.com stating that there is change in my Iternary.
I got in touch with MakeMyTrip.com customer care ( this too is pathetic as it takes 15 minutes minimum to connect to Customer care executive ).
They said that my flight timings are changed and now I would reach Indore at 4:15 pm instead of 1:10pm.
They gave me two options:
- Accept this flight
- Get refund for this journey.
In this way, I would surely miss the connecting train to Kota which is at 4pm from Indore.
This is the last train for Kota for the day.
I told the same things to makemytrip executive that since I don’t know anyone in Indore, it would be hard on me to stay in Indore along with my family and I would surely miss my Brother’s wedding.
I can not afford to get refund as the fare for same period has shoot up by 50% by the time they gave me this offer.
They just said that they cannot do anything.
Its been a month with constant follow up without a single reply.
Is this the way such brands with proclaim to be No-1 Travel site, perform their duty post sale?
I expected that they should provide me a hassle-free journey, however, I have been harassed with such a hazard in their functioning.
I do not know how DGCA allows such sites without proper checking on the way they conduct themselves. Was this information helpful? |
