I had made a airfare booking for Mumbai-Chennai round trip on refundable basis and received a confirmation voucher indicating cancellation on refundable basis.

However, MMT issued me a ticket on non-refundable basis.
However, due to the floods in Chennai, I decided t cancel the booking as I had senior citizens traveling with me. Now, MMT comes back telling me that the cancellation fee will be as high as the ticket cost. When checked with airline as well, it was told that MMT booked these tickets on non refundable basis.
I have tried calling the call center for last 3 days and all in vain with no early resolution. My call just keeps bouncing from place to place. The Supervisor, Mr. Kumar bluntly tells me that nothing can be done on this and refused to give me the escalation matrix to whom I may approach for my resolution. I have sent a few mails to the organisation, but with no response, except for a system generated email.
This has amounted to clear harassment, and a classic case of cheating and forgery where I stand to lose INR 35K.
It is a shame for this NASDAQ listed entity to behave in such demeaning manner. Was this information helpful? |
