[Resolved]  MakeMyTrip India — cancellation charges for hotel booking cancellation

I made a hotel booking in varanasi on feb. 14th, 2019 using makemytrip website, i started with trivago and was directed to mmt site as they were having the best rates for the booking dates.

I was looking for stay on feb. 13th and searched accordingly, i made the booking for hotel hindustan international and when the payment was completed, it was indicating march 14th, instead of feb. 14th.

I tried to cancel the booking immediately and found that the site is asking for another rs. 127 to cancel the booking + no payment any refund.

I returned back to delhi and discussed with mmt on feb. 16th,

They claimed that as per hotel cancellation policy they will not refund any advance payment made. I discussed the matter with hotel hindustan international and learn that they do not charge any cancellation fee until 72 hours of booking, in my case it was 30 days,

I discussed with mmt again and they refused to accept this and claim that as per there agreement with the hotel, they will not refund anything.

I am surprised, as i have paid almost rs 500o without getting any service and non of my fauul
