Bit long but I urge all to please read completely:
I get a call from their executive on 27th June that my CV has been shortlisted for a specific role in companies such as WIPRO & HCL. I went there on 29th June, I made an entry in their register and waited for someone to call me. Then 5-10 mins later I am called by the head over their Sweety Sharma. She asks me brief questions about my current role and then gets to the point of asking Rs.4500 (NON-REFUNDABLE IF SELECTED) to create a login for the interview and says that if I fail then they will return that 4500. Btw companies told to me were KPMG, TCS, Tech Mahindra, IBM. Then I am told that if selected I will have to pay another Rs.9500 which will be an agreement b/w me & Marcus for 6 months and if incase I leave in 6months of joining that company then the money will be forfeited and if I work for 6 months it will be refunded. Now coming to the interview, which started after paying 4500, they connect me on a PHONE CALL, NOT VIDEO CALL with an HR (without telling their name or organization), she asks me basic questions for 10 - 15 mins and that's it - I AM SELECTED IN KPMG with 30% hike on my current salary - NO WRITTEN TEST/ASSIGNMENT/EXPERT INTERVIEW - HR DIRECTLY HIRES ME. Now Ms.Sweety tells me that in couple of days I will get my joining letter (if I submit all my relevant docs today including 9500) and there will be a PI round at the time of joining where I can again negotiate with KPMG for the salary. This time I went out came back in few minutes made an excuse that I can't pay right now so she tells me to pay on Wednesday but send your documents today. I NEVER WENT BACK NOR I WILL I GO, I LOST 4500 BUT I DON'T WANT YOU TO LOSE THEM SAME.
Oh also, it is 1st July today and I haven't received the login of the portal of which I was told will receive and had to pay Rs.4500 for it. Upon contacting them, I get a screenshot which is attached here.
Firstly - How can an HR directly hire without the subject expert taking an interview?
Secondly - No written test in such a big MNC? Even a start-up takes it.
Thirdly - The HR on call was speaking broken English with grammatical mistakes but maintained an accent.
Fourth - Which recruiter charges so much money from candidate who is already struggling? First of all, they shouldn't even charge money
Fifth - HR of an MNC selling jobs in that company that to for merely 14, 000?
I urge all to please be safe and don't fall prey to such fraudsters. Was this information helpful? |
