Sub:- Complaint Against the Manager/Staff of DD Motors (Peera Garhi) For Unprofessional / Unethical And Gross-Negligence Work During The Execution and After Exicution Of The Job Work Of Vehicle No. DL 4CAM7170 SX4(Maruti).
Sir,
1. This is to bring to your notice that the complainant is the owner of a car make SX4(Maruti) Bearing No. DL 4CAM7170 that the complainant sent his car to the service centre i.e. at DD Motors (Peera Garhi) for the paid service/ tuning/maintenance on 14/03/2014 thereafter a job card bearing Invoice no. BR 13038127 was opened, and the car was taken by the concerned staff for job work and thereafter after the complete tuning/ service the car was handed over to the complainant at his residence and thereafter the payment of Rs13, 600/- was also collected from home.
2. That on 15/03/2014 because of the unfortunate demise of the uncle of the complainant he had to leave for Mathura early in the morning along with his family. That after travelling for a while the car stopped abruptly with a jerk and smoke started coming out from the engine of the car. The entire family of the complainant was terrified and remained in a state of shock for a while and rushed out of the car in a heist. Sighting no other alternative the complainant called the mechanic from the nearby authorized Maruti service centre and also told them that they got the car serviced just yesterday and the mechanic after examining the car told the complainant that the mechanic at the service centre forget to put the coolant in the car and because of the same the car got overheated and the engine might be damaged they further suggested the complainant that instead of getting the car repaired here they should get the vehicle towed away to the same service centre (D D Motors Peera Garhi) in Delhi to get the problem rectified as because of the carelessness of the mechanic the car has developed a technical snag. Thereafter the complainant got the vehicle towed to D. D. Motors Peera Garhi and all the expenses of the crane i.e. Rs5, 000/- was born by the complainant. Because of the negligent work by DD Motors the complainant had to face extreme hardship and mental harassment and above all the family of the complainant had a nearly life threatening experience.
3. That on 15/3/2014 the complainant told the staff at the DD Motors about the hardships faced by him and his family because of the carelessness and unprofessional work of service/ tuning undertaken by the workshop. The advisor instead of admitting their mistakes they rather told the complainant that because of their mishandling the vehicle it got damaged and further told that a rough estimate of Rs 20, 000/- will be spent to carry out the repair work, to which the complainant strictly objected and told them that because of their negligence he had faced a life threatening situation and instead of admitting their mistake and compensating him for the same they told the complainant to pay such a huge sum. Thereafter one of the advisor Mr Ritesh Lamba assured the complainant that they will do the needful and asked the complainant to come on 27/03/2014. When the complainant reached the workshop at Peera Garhi on 27/03/2014 and enquired about his vehicle and met the advisor at the workshop the advisor told the complainant that the total expenses to restore the car will be Rs 72, 000/- instead of the rough estimate of Rs 20, 000/- as previously told by them. The complainant was shocked to hear that and protested to the highly inflated and arbitral charge which the complainant had to bear and that to because of the carelessness and negligence of their workers/employees/staff. On hearing the complainant other staff members namely Ritesh Lamba, Balkishan, Jagiram, Rakesh Dahiya and Ravinder misbehaved and manhandled the complainant and immediately the complainant called the police at 100 no. and thereafter a complaint dated 31/03/2014 was made against the DD Motors (Peera Garhi) staff to the SHO, P.S Mianwali Nagar.
4. That since all the maintenance work was carried out by the mechanic/staff at the service centre on 14/03/2014 therefore it was their responsibility of providing the best possible job work of the car as they are expert in their own field and they are the best judge as to whether to replace a particular part or to repair the same. In the entire process the service centre employees exercise their own discretion and there is no say of the customers. And only the mechanic /staff can be held responsible in case the work is not executed properly which led to such a misshappening / accident which led to extreme mental pain, agony and life threatening incident which cannot be compensated monetarily .
That through this complaint i am highlighting the gross unprofessional / unethical and gross negligent work carried out by the concerned staff of the service station because of which the complainant car was damaged which led to extreme mental pain, agony and a nearly life threatening incident.
Through this complaint I would request that necessary action against the guilty/responsible person may be taken/ initiated.
Thanking You
Yours Faithfully
Anil Kumar Pandey
