This is to complain against the illegal practice of extorting parking charges by the MGS (Super Speciality) Hospital, Punjabi Bagh, Delhi from the attendants of the patients admitted in the hospital. Any attendant come in the hospital to see his patient is being charged with illegal/ unauthorised parking charges and if any person refuses to pay for it, the hospital refuses to let him park his vehicle in the parking lot of the hospital. This is highly unacceptable and illegal on the part of the hospital.
The people are already paying high expenses yo the hospital for the treatment they are being taken and this kind of extortion is further burdening them financially and mentally. This adds to the metal and financial harassment to the patients and thier attendants.
This clearly cime under the definition of EXTORTION given under the Indian Penal Code. Hospital has no right to charge the attendants of the patients admitted in the hospital for parking facility. This illegal practice has to stopped by setting an example by taking strict action against the hospital.
At 10:00 P.M. in the night, the parking man stopped me to enter the hospital without paying Rs. 30/- for parking charges. On complaining the hospital authority at the reception, hospital staff refused to hear my grievance and told me to not to park my vehicle in the hospital parking if I refuse to pay of the parking.
I have two receipts of the parking slips.
Kindly, look into the matter and take strict action against the illegal practice of the MGS Hospital.
