Sir,
I was passing through Hattaragi plaza on 11/01/2021 at 7:30 a.m. My vehicle number is KA22Z6611. The scanning device did not recognize my vehicle's fastag code. The staff members were not cooperative. They didn't get spare device to scan and they were forcing me to pay the amount even though I had sufficient balance in my Fastag account. Finally, I failed to convince them and I paid Rs. 30 and also they have wasted our valuable time also. The staff were telling that NHAI has not provided any spare device to scan in exceptional case. I think it is responsibility of the contractor to behave smoothly with customer and keep spare device in exceptional case. While returning, my vehicle's Fastag scanned properly and Rs. 30 got deducted at 15:19 on the same day. As per my knowledge it should be deducted only Rs 15/-, if return journey is within 24 hours.
Having said the above matter, my queries are
1) Why the extra Rs 15/- amount is deducted. (It is the question of service not the amount)
2) What is the action against negligent and ignorant staff of plaza?
