Municipal Corporation Of Delhi — Mr Sunil Wadhwa R/o B 420 Sarita Vihar, New Delhi 110076, Illegal Construction of additional rooms and alteration of structure in DDA Flat (Top Floor)

Sir,

This is to bring to your kind attention that residents of Mr and Mrs Sunil Wadhwa (a contractor by profession) B-420 Sarita Vihar (Top Floor), illegally constructed two additional rooms on the top floor of the building and erected roof to cover open spaces between walls. The additional rooms have been supported by scaffoldings given on the back side of the building (photos hereby attached).

The structure of the building is already 35 years old and additional construction on the top floor could over burden the building and the excess weight could compromise the structure of the entire building and cause grave danger to the residents of the lower floors and neighboring buildings.

I strongly object this illegal construction and feel that it would endanger the lives of other residents and would also give other residents of the colony the whimsical approach of altering with the basic structures of the buildings in Sarita Vihar and violate the laws of The Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957.

I would further bring to your attention that Mr Wadhwa residents of B-420 Sarita Vihar are in contravention of Section 332 (Prohibition of building without Sanction), Section 334 (Applications for additions to, or repairs of, buildings), Section 336 (Sanction or refusal of building or work).

I humbly request the Delhi Municipal Corporation to Order Demolition and stoppage of building with powers vested under Section 343 & Section 344 of the DMC Act, 1957 or seal the unauthorized construction taking place at B-420 Sarita Vihar (top floor) with powers vested under Section 345A of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957. Moreover, the residents of B-420 Sarita Vihar i.e., Mr and Mrs Sunil Wadhwa are liable to shall be punished under Section 461 (12th Schedule) and Section 466A of the DMC Act, 1957 which involves a punishment of imprisonment o[censored]pto 6 months.

Mr Sunil Wadhwa resident of B-420 Sarita Vihar has also built scaffoldings at the back of the buildings DDA building (with the help of which) he is illegally constructing the additional rooms in the Top floor of our residential building (causing alteration of structure and over burdening the original structure). Pictures of the scaffolding in the back side of the building are attached herewith.

You are requested to please look into the matter on urgent basis as we residents of B-414 & B-417 Sarita Vihar are being harassed and threatened by Mr Sunil Wadhwa and his construction nexus.
