To, MCD South Delhi Devli Unabated encroachment of roads and streets in main town here is causing immense inconvenience to the pedestrians while the authorities are acting as mute spectators to the grave issue. Locals said shopkeepers and hawkers have encroached upon various roads, footpaths and streets here. “It has become difficult for us to walk on footpaths as these have been completely encroached. Pedestrians are forced to walk on road making them vulnerable to accidents. Encroachment by shopkeepers and roadside vendors is allegedly encouraged by some Municipal officials and policemen who get commission from them, ” they further alleged. “The wrong parking of vehicles also cause inconvenience to the pedestrians, ” he a local added.
