[Resolved]  Municipal Council Ropar (Rupnagar) for Water Bills — Surprise high amount water & sewage bills

Hi, Ropar municipal council is sending the water bill of a huge amount i.e. 1560/- per month that we need to pay for 10 months to as per them. But I have all the receipts of bills submission till march 2014 without any pending amount. Government passed this rule that there will be no charge for people having house area less than or equal to 125 Gaj. I have submitted the application in march 2014 (as my house area hi 97 Gaj only) which they have marked as received but no notice regarding that has been sent to me till now even after chasing them so much. Now after the bill came when I went there to investigate the reason behind this amount they are being very rude n talking like illiterate non-sense people & not answering my any question properly just being rude by saying again and again that you have to pay this otherwise we'll cut the connection. They are not providing any information that how this much amount came into picture. I am a widow & not any having any source of income. Please help me in asking them the situation. They are behaving like as if they are kings & ruling us. I have all the proofs, In case they will be required, I'll definitely send them all.
