Namita Beach House Resort Tarkarli — The owner threaten us and forcefully took extra INR 1500

Hello,

During my family stay at "Namita Beach house Resort" in Tarkarli Malavn, MTDC Registration No. 183. I faced following problems.

1. In my recent 3 day stay from 23 Jan 2021 till 26-Jan-2021. I saw the owner lady “Namita Gaonkar” & her husband fought almost with all customers on their last day checkout. They demanded unnecessary charges otherwise they threaten you and ultimately you have no choice but to pay them whatever extra amount they want.
2. Rooms are WORST, too much dirt, no cleaning. Spiders and lizards are freely roaming in the rooms. Celling Fans are not working properly.
3. The photos of surroundings and rooms shared by the lady on website and on WhatsApp looks good but in reality, the environment and surrounding is in too much bad condition with full of dirt ad mud.
4. People feel it is on the beach, yes it is but the way from this hotel to the beach is full of mud and in the evening you can not go on the beach because of the dark as there is no lights.
5. The food quality is worst.
6. You will book the room the lady will confirm your booking but no guarantee that you will get your booking on your arrival even after you paid certain advance amount. She will surprise you saying she do not have any rooms available and then she will advise you to either refund your amount or offer to stay in her office (a small Compaq room where there is no bathroom).
7. Hot water available only in the morning 8am to 10am when you want other time she will not tell you about the charges but will add the amount on your final settlement during checkout.
8. My personal experience – I booked 3 rooms (15days before my arrival) the lady confirmed my booking and I paid advance amount to her. I once again confirmed my booking 2 days prior my arrival. But the horrible experience was – on my arrival lady said she booked just the hall and not the other 2 more rooms - saying she got many calls everyday and that is why mistakes happened (she accepted her mistakes when I saw her our WhatsApp conversations). Then she started saying she will refund some amount and I can leave from there or else we have to manage 1 night in small space room which is said her office room. We were 10 adult and 4 kids so we thought lets manage because we have no choice as we reached to the place in night time.
After 3 days i.e. on our checkout day she said I have to pay another 1500 because she provided a small space where our 1 person spent 1 night and she also charged for extra mattresses which we never used. We refuse politely saying why we have to pay it was your mistakes that you didn’t properly noted our booking then she called her husband and he started shouting and threatening saying he will see how we can leave Malvan area without paying that extra amount. We have no choice to pay extra amount as we were there with our families and kids.
9. When later enquired about that lady in Tarkarli, Devbag, Sindhudurg and nearby places we came to know that most of the agents knows about that lady and so they don’t send their customers to her place because of her wrongdoing activities.

The owner threaten us and forcefully took extra INR 1500 from us. Please look into the matter urgently and save others to get cheated from this resort owner.
