Service Order No AHM-035431:
I gave my AF-S Nikkor 300 mm 1:4D ED lens for autofocus repair to Sonali Photos, Valsad. The lens is 1.4 kg and 8.8 inches long with original CL-M2 case. The shop sent it to Nikon Service Centre. I got call from Nikon Service Centre for the repairing cost INR 18000/- which I agreed and paid before delivery. It was repaired and I got a call from the shop for its arrival. I went to the shop on May 28, 2022, Friday evening. As I carried my camera in camera bag to check the lens, I left the shop with my camera bag on my shoulder and lens with case in my hand without realising that the strap of the case is missing. On Sunday morning during field trip I realised and on Monday I called the shop and at evening I visited the shop. It was said to me that it is not in the shop and Nikon Service Centre also said the same. Then I complained to NikonSupport where after some emails and calls, they provided me number of Mr Shah, Area Sales Manager, Ahmedabad on June 07, 2022. He promised to investigate and informed me that the dealer will provide solution. The last reply was also the same on September 03, 2022 but nothing happened. Now, will Nikon India do something for this missing strap?
