I’m one of the victims of this fraud home based job portal. I’m writing this article to let everyone know the truth behind this data entry job provider. I want to share my experience and make sure that other people do not fall into this trap. Please read till last as i’m also posting screen shots of emails and whatsapp conversations.

I received an email from jestin (Could be fake name) he represents himself as an hr working with octopus management services. His email id is jestin. [protected]@gmail.com and mobile number: - [protected].in this email there was an excel sheet and 93 pdf files. It was written that if i update this sheet so as per my quality of work i will get paid accordingly. (Please find the screenshot at the end). To which i replied and i received another email by saying start working now it.
I was surprise to see how can someone pay me such a huge amount just to update an excel sheet i thought something is fishy so i called on the mentioned number and spoke with a guy name jestin an hr from oms. He then assured me that i will get paid if i complete the work and if my quality matches as per their requirements. But i asked him again if i have to pay anything to this initially or after submitting work and before i get paid to which he replied again “no”. I started working on it and asked doubts couple of times to jestin on whatsapp.

I was skeptical again if i will get paid for this work and am i just wasting my time and what if they ask me some money after i submit my work. So i started looking their website and found nothing much to prove that they are a legitimate firm no client testimony as they have mentioned only one number +91-[protected]. I called on that number to my surprise nobody answered and it’s not that i called only one time. Hence, i tried calling on that number on a different time and luckily one guy named vikram answered the call and i asked about their company and how it works. He said they are based in dimapur, nagalad and email to us on our website you will get projects to work now we don’t have any projects. He was not sounding that confident and pay attention to this guys that jestin and vikram are south indian guys if you call them and speak to them you can make it out by there accent. I then called jestin to check if knows vikram. He said yes and they both are in bangalore office. Jestin mentioned to me that he has come to his hometown and he works from home. As i used to ask many questions to check genuinely if this is a legit company or a scam firm. He once told me that i should stop working if i think so and then i thought i should concentrate on my work rather than questioning. So i did so and i was able to complete the work before submission date and asked jestin if i submit my work when will i get my payment. He told me within four days after submission of my work. I did so and waited for my payment but there was no payment from these guys. I made call to jestin to which he told me its too early now i will have to wait until 19th september for the quality details. I got message from jestin on 24th september that quality is done but they have some issues with account so i will have to wait until 26th september for further updates.

On 26th september i received an email from jestin. [protected]@gmail.com that my project is selected with 93.8% quality and that my salary of 51890rs will be process between 27th to 29th september but before that i have to pay cgst and sgst of 5129rs. I was pissed and i asked jestin why are you asking money now i’m going to report this and expose your scam. He then messaged my that i don’t have to pay any taxes wait until monday 30th september i should be getting my salary. Today he said salary cannot be processed as they are allotting work. But now i knew that what i was sensing in the start was right and this is a scam company which asks money from people. So i decided to write this article and make everyone aware of this scam.
