I joined ONLEI Technologies for a digital marketing course and paid fees in two instalments on 1st March and 3rd April, respectively. According to the course guidelines, all aspects of digital marketing would be covered, and this was outlined at the beginning. I chose weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as I had college and was also involved in part-time tutoring. As I have a keen interest in content writing, my trainer, Apoorve Srivastava, started with content marketing.
Before starting the course, I had informed them about my upcoming exams and that I wouldn't be able to attend classes during that period. On 17th, I confirmed my exam date and inquired whether the course would resume from August onwards. After my exams, I contacted their business WhatsApp number to restart my course. However, they denied it, stating there were no available slots and that they would inform me in the first week of August.
Expressing my disappointment as I had previously informed them about my exams, I followed up and sent emails, but received no reply regarding restarting my classes. Finally, my class started at the end of 26th August. They tried to schedule sessions during my office hours on Saturdays, but after my continuous communication, they allotted Sunday sessions, each lasting one hour.
Apoorve Srivastava managed to cover the entire six month course in just 7-8 sessions, each lasting one hour. I was only asked to create ads on different platforms, something I already knew. Essential concepts of digital marketing, such as optimization and analytics, were not covered. I didn't have any hands-on experience with live projects, and my requests for project assignments and internship certificates were ignored.
When I expressed my concerns about incomplete course fulfillment, my messages were ignored, and Apoorve Srivastava did not respond to my mail. I informed him that I learned more from YouTube and sought Google certification on my own. When I mentioned taking action, they accused me of harassment and threatened to involve their legal team. They even threatened to call my college and inform them that the course was completed, though I clarified that I hadn't included ONLEI Technologies' certificate on my resume due to its lack of value.
In conclusion, I haven't completed any projects, received no hands-on practice, and borrowed money for this course. I feel deceived by an educational institute and have requested a refund of my entire fee. I seek justice in this matter.
