Mother's day gifts were ordered for beloved family member (Kaberi Bose) on 5 May 2015. Our Visa Credit card was charged $17.92 (Rs. 1095). However, no delivery was made. When Mrs. Kaberi Bose alerted that no delivery was made, on enquiry with the company this is what they responded: "Your order No.(27207) has not been delivered on that day the payment for this order and it was in pending. So, we have cancelled this order and refunded your amount of Rs 1095/-. It will be credited in your account within 5 to 7 working days." Incidentally till this day we have not received the refund!
Thus implicating that though owing to server issues the delivery was not done yet the credit card was charged and money taken out. Doesn't this amount to cheating/fraud?
Please advise consumers to be cognizant of this type of fraud. Thank you.
