I have already submitted my complaint on 26.10.2016, the ID of the same being 1414521. But there are some changes in the e-mail, which would confuse the reader. So, I would like to submit my complain once again to clarify. Pl. bear and allow. This is as below:
I booked in the month of June, 2016 a double occupancy room in OYO Hotels at Hotel Jagdamba, Railway Road, Katra, for my wife and myself. Booking no. GLBP2671 was from 06.10.2016 to 11.10.2016, and payment of Rs.5245 for 5 nights was made then and there online. Subsequently my son also joined and stayed with us in the same booked room. The hotel gave impression that they would charge something reasonable for this third occupancy. They did not spell out anything concrete. We completely relied on the hotel. Also, we became very much engaged in sight seeing and did not verify with them. My son was not provided with any extra bed/cot or any other requirements. He squeezed himself and slept for 5 nights on the sofa couch placed in the room. No personnel of the hotel ever visited and asked if there was any difficulty. To our utter surprise, at the time of leaving on 11.10.2016 we were charged at the current rate for the October, 2016 and had to pay additionally Rs.4500 for 5 nights. Our arguments with the hotel as well as with the representative of OYO Rooms over telephone fell flat. In our opinion, there should be some fixed/certain additional charge for the third occupancy, which cannot be equal to the present room tariff of Oct., 2016. Or, the hotel could charge for the third occupancy only, at the current rate. If we had to pay at the current rate what is the use of booking in June, 2016?
We would never go for OYO Rooms in future nor we would advise anybody to do that.
