I had shifted my pana AC from Chennai on 17 th and moved to Bangalore on 18th. I had requested for reinstallation of AC at bangalore thro authorised service centre of panasonic and the AC was was reinstalled but at a heavy cost. ( Bill attached). Despite my strong protests, the service centre and call centre insisted that both the copper wire and the gas (top up) require to be replaced. Ultimately i had to agree under protest. The cost came to 5000/- which i am sure is on the high side, particularly the cost of copper tubes n the gas., which was unwarranted and aimed at fleecing the customers. This act i deem it as deficiency of service and cheating customers through unwarrsnted replacement of parts. I hereby demand refund of Rs.1250 plus Rs.1800 towards such unwarranted expenses thrust on me. (The AC gas reading showed 49% before n around 70 on what was touted as refill. But while removing the bolts of the outer unit itself i had a doubt that the service person might have tampered to allow gas to escape and this may be a "standard" procedure to extract extra unjustified costs from the consumer/customer)
This may be treated as formal complaint of deficiency of service and action initiated. My further actions will be dependent on your proavtive action on my cimplaint.
