Partridge — Violated the terms of the agreement

I selected Partridge to publish my book after negotiating extensively with their sales agent. I got confirmation from him in writing that my 130 page novel will not exceed a price of 290 rupees. After this assurance, I paid them 18, 000 rupees to go ahead and publish the book. Now, 2 months down the line when we are ready to publish, Partridge realized that they want to earn more money so they set the price of the book to be 350 rupees. Even after much rationalising with them, they are not budging from the price. This is a clear case of cheating and I am now having to look for a different publisher.
