Sub: Appealing for passport penalty Rs.5000 given by passport regional office, Ghaziabad.

Dear sir/madam

I have applied for passport in regional passport office, Ghaziabad. I have mentioned same address of rented house and permanent house.So after police verification passport office imposed 5000 Rs penalty. Please suggest what should i do. Because 5000rs is big amount and i don’t think for this mistake this much penalty should be imposed.I have not done this mistake intentionally.

Reason for giving same address of rented and permanent house:

Most of the time my father is not available in my permanent house (Patna). And also i am not able to go there. My application can be rejected in police verification in the absence of me and my father. That's why i have mentioned same address of rented and permanent house in application form. My intention was not to hide my information from passport office. I took this decision because of mentioned circumstances. Kindly understand my problem.
