Passport Office Hyderabad — Wanted information about change of name in birth certificate

Sir,

My Birth certificate bears the name as T G JAYANTH, which was registered by my maternal grand parents (born on 19/05/1995, at Ivan Stedford Hospital . My mother passed away, in the year 1998. I was joined in nursery school by my paternal grand parents, with name as T G RANGAN, unaware of my name in birth certificate. All my school certificates, college certificate bear the name as
T G RANGAN. I had applied for passport with Annexure and other documents as suggested by Advocate. But the Passport officials are asking for change of name in the birth certificate (Birth Certificate issued by Avadi Municipality only). Is it possible, if so what is the procedure. I am native of Hyderabad, Telangana. With great difficulty, I got the birth certificate in July, 2015 (this year).

Please do help me. My father also had passed away 10 months back. I am being taken care of my Aunt - Father's sister.
