Personal Tax — Unethical penalty charges are being levied

Tax paid on 25th December
there was an error on the website - https://eportal.incometax.gov.in whereby was unable to submit the return.
Had submitted the grievance on the same day, receive reply today - 01/01/2022. with no solution reply.
Now penalty is being charged without any mistake of tax payer, this is unethical and unjustified penalty collection.
