[Resolved]  Phoenix Mall, Velachery, Chennai — Parking charges for 2 wheeler and Car parking charges are abnormally high

Yes... The parking charges are way too higher.. For sure it will exceed the fuel charges of your two wheeler.. They are charging Rs.50/- per hour. But there is one trick there as you are going there for a movie, You need to get a seal on the parking token it seams. By doing that you may get around Rs.50/- as discount(!!??) I did came to know only after asking the token collector while coming back. Guys This information has not been shared anywhere on the web. Please do it and help others to be relieved at least a bit in charges...

Phoenix Market City, One of the worst mall which collects parking charges as more and more than any other malls in india.
parking charge for a two wheeler for 1 hour is 50 Rs. If you go and watch a movie in Luxe in the mall . movie lasts for 3 hrs. For each hour 50 will be charged. If you get a seal on your parking ticket after watching the movie in Luxe, Rs 50 will be discounted. Anyways you have to pay the remaining amount Rs 100.

So Movie charge per person = 120 Rs.
Parking Charge per bike = 100 Rs.

Total = 220 Rs.

So. if on e person with one bike watch a movie in Phoenix mall. He has to spend 220 Rs for it. which is 3.25 Litre of Petrol cost.

this is very to know about the mall. they should reduce the parking charges. It is like we are falling in the well by keeping our eyes open.

This is not highly appreciated. The shopping mall has a funny fee collecting system. They collect Rs 50 per hour for a two wheeler where as they collect Rs 40 for the first hour and Rs 30 for the succeeding hours for a four wheeler.


The idea here is to make the people who use 2 wheelers not to come to their mall, in the mean time motivate the 4 wheeler people. This is to get decent (?) high class crowd who could behave decently and purchase a lot in mall. This is kind of demarcation.


Again, charging Rs 50 per hour for a two wheeler is not at all acceptable.


The behaviour of the staff is also not good. They will take responsibility for any thing. If your vehicle is damaged, they will not even bother about anything. If you have a flat tyre at mid night, you are done!!!. You cant park the vehicle there, if you want you need to write a letter to their authorities with lot of rules. You can see all the rude people there at the cash counter and surrounding area.


You do not find any service tax paid for the parking service in your bill. So I dont think they pay any tax for that.

Such a worst customer service I have ever experienced.. While returning from movie you need to get seal on your ticket so that you will get 100rs discount on your parking charges.. And if the parking card is lost you need to pay 350rs fine for you own vehicle... A worst experience is I lost my ticket and its a genuine case I tried explaining the lady over there and she behaved very rude towards me.. In same case a lady was with a child who had severe fever and she was pleading them to excuse they behaved like the lord of the mall.. It makes sad when such big malls don't have time to look on the management towards the customers!!!

Its a worst experience with phoneix parking.. I work in a reputed company as a customer service officer.. I have missed my parking entry ticket in the mall and once I reach parking I realised it though its a genuine case I went to the lady over the counter and informed her the case she told me to pay fine of rs 350 for my own vehicle.. And as a same case a lady was carrying her child who might be around 2yrs old..she have also lost her ticket and was informing that counter lady that child was in severe fever and the lady was pleading her to excuse but they dint.. I went up and called their supervisor I was nearly waiting for an hour but the supervisor was not turned up.. I went again ad spoke to the lady she used her local language and told if its very urgency pay the fine and leave..its very sad tat such a big mall turns nearly million revenue and they don't have time to look up the management who treats customers cheap .. It doesn't matter to pay fine .. But in a customer field you guys should place right supervisor and manager to give respect to customers.. Customer service is not only inside the mall.. Satisfaction of a customer is till the end of the day.. First place the staff who have humanity.. Then you will get ratings automatically..

There is a building opposite to phoenix.. availing two wheeler parking for Rs15 per hour.

Today I went to phoenix mall with my 7 month baby and I took her in pram...While coming down in the lift. ..lift man was shouting with me not to bring pram inside lift. I was also having a rattle for my kid coz she was crying afrid of lift...for that also lift man shouting that rattle sound is irritating for him n I must not bring it...He was shouting...felt vry bad...This was d first trip I took my baby n she njoyed seeing dolls lights but that man shouted n spoiled my mood...

No response from the mall authorities. Goes to see how much they value their customers.

Stupidity ! . Never ever go to Phoenix. Parking charge more than ticket price. Instead go to PVR for reasonable price.

I doubt some political reason behind the abnormally high parking fee for two Wheeler in Phoenix mall. Jazz as everybody is aware belongs to a person from a political party and I seriously doubt if parking tender has been given to someone from the same political Color.

Is there any way to raise a compliant to government .
Or government knows that but no way to take action on it.

Decent way of Begging...

Without knowing about parking charges, I booked back to back movies with 3hrs gap in between. Spent that 3hrs in doing shopping... Finally at the end I paid 450/-... I will get petrol for 20days of bike usage for the same amount. I hope I don't use Phoenix mall hereafter... Very worst experience. They didn't decrease 100rs also as I don't know process to get stamping... Feeling bad for paying 450rs and getting nothing out of it.

Sorry to say this guys. The parking opposite to Phoenix is cheap, but, not safe. I parked my motorbike there and came back to find my handlebar completely twisted. The best option I have identified is to come and go by cab. This seems to be cheaper when compared to the looters at the mall. I see so many complaints here, but, no action has been taken. So, I just thought, I'd give a suggestion instead of venting out my anger.

and also not in festival season they charges flat 100 in evening, even though we walk in for 10mints as well. we need to pay 100 bucks... its really ridiculous.

I'm going a movie on luxe it's movie is 3 hours .Then they collect a parking charges in200 rupees it's is very high cost for parking .And it's no inform the following process and don't give a instructions it's very bad experience for all peoples😤😤😤😤

I had to pay 200 rupees for 3 hours and it is ridiculously high.
Felt like day light robbery.

By seeing those all above, why are you going there?? Is there 100% necessity to go there. i hope no. I thought book tickets there for a movie and now dropping to go there, because of the parking looting. Will go to some other theater. My opinion is parking price also as pert of their business, if you like you go there or else keep quite.

I prefered Luxe only when i book IMAX movie, we get Rs100 off in parking if we get seal on ticket after movie...for other movies PVR is best :P :)

I went to phoenix mall yesterday. Unfortunately I parked my bike there. I had lunch there and did some shopping too. It took me 7 hours in total.
I was shocked to see the parking bill.. it said 350₹.. WT[censored].. if I had taken Ola or uber from my house during peak hours, I could have saved 100₹!!
50₹ per hour is really high. I can't imagine going with my family for a full day shopping to phoenix mall!!
