Plan B Hangover- Hsr Layout, Bangalore — Forceful service charge

The restaurant charged 10 % service charge on the bill and when we asked to remove the charge, we were forced to pay service charge. The restaurant had 1+1 offer. After we asked them to remove the service charge, they said then they will also remove 1+1 offer for us. We tried to convince him so much that the service charge is voluntary and we do not want to pay it, then the manager became rude and he started questioning our education and said we are not educated enough. We then called the police (HSR Police Station) to help us out. The police came and shockingly said that they do not know these government rules that service charge is voluntary and refused to help us. Ultimately we had to forcefully pay the service charge and leave from the restaurant.
