Regardless of the number of complaints from consumers on the "Merchants Levying fees on debit card transactions" & RBI's notification to banks & business we still face the issue of demand to pay 2.5% service charges to pay using cards. I had a similar situation with Popular Bajaj, Bangalore demanding for service charges with unsatisfactory replies when questioned. Surprisingly even the finance head of the location doesn't have any clue of the notification from RBI. My request through this compliant to the responsible department is to save innocent costumers/victims from being cheated by the merchants in the form of charges for their innocence.
