Privacy — CCTV camera

I saw infrared night vision camera in movie hall and it gave me the feeling of my privacy being compromised. Will the movie staff monitor me all the time? Will they use the footages for there own use? It is a really unsafe to watch movies in inox as privacy is biggest concern. Please give a appropriate and clear reply.
