[Resolved]  Reliance Communications / Netconnect+ — Net Connect - A list of Complaints

I bought reliance netconect+ modem on 16th nov. 2012 from a vendor inside infosys chennai. I opted for an advance rental plan for 3 months in rs 2325/- With the promise of speed upto 3.1 mbps. From that time, it has been 2 months, but I could use my internet for hardly 20 days due to various issues.

1) 18th nov I got it activated. But I had to go my home town (tonk, rajasthan - 304024)for 15 days. I tried using my net there, bur was not able to connect. According to customer care, no network coverage was there. Well, I can understand that. But 2)I told them to deactivate my connection and start my billing after 15 days (when I will be back in network area and can start using it), but they refused. So I paid for those unused 15 days too.

3) I came back on 2 dec 2012 in coverage area, but still it was not working. Customer care wrote a complaint regarding network problem, resolved in 2-3 days.

4) still it was not working. They guided me to do some setting and it started working. But still it was working in hybrid mode only, not in hsd mode. And the problem was, they forgot to activate my hsd mode service. Great! they wrote complaints. Resolved in 2-3 days.

So from 17 nov to till 7 dec, I didn't use internet, but I paid for it.

5) from 8th dec it was working. Although speed was not as good as promised. It was max 200 kbps instead of 3.1 mbps. And after 5 gb consumption, it was very miserable avg 10 kbps instead of 144 kbps. Still I was ok with that. At least it was working.

6) on 28th dec 2012, my service was again deactivated and the reason was due to some payment failure, which I had done in advance 40 days before. After so many calls to vendor and customer care, problem resolved after 8 days on 4 jan 2013. And I have to pay for this deactivation period also. Well I have already paid for 3 months, I can't do anything.

7) I couldn't use it even a full day and on 5th january, it is not working on my system. I called several times to customer care and they give different problems and solution, but none is working. One told, it is not supported on windows 8!! 1st of all, this application runs in windows 8 in compatibility mode to windows 7 and it was running from past 1 month. If it doesn't support, it shouldn't have run earlier also, and in that case I would have deactivate or return it back earlier.

8) other told, roaming was not activated, so it was not working. But after activating roaming also, it is not working.

9) I have uninstalled and re-installed many times. Tried in all ports. Called many times to customer care, but no resolution yet.

I am seriously fed-up with this kind of service. More than about money, it is about peace of mind and my valuable time, which got wasted.
