[Resolved]  PublicityBulkSMS.com — Given fake, outdated and fudged databases

This company is a fraud.

I needed most recently updated database for sms and email marketing and I called JustDial for the same.

Mr. Rakesh from Publicity Bulk SMS, which has a premium listing on JustDial called me up and told me that he has "very new databases" of the year 2013 and 2012. I was repeatedly called by and was assured by Mr. Rakesh that the database will have more than 80% connectivity and you will not get any old records.

The quantity of database was 16 lakhs for 5000/- Rs.

They have a address of Mumbai, Malad. I asked them if I can go to their office and meet them as I am from Mumbai itself. Mr. Rakesh replied that "Now there is no one who sits in Malad and that entire staff and company has been shifted to Bangalore".

Finally, as per their instructions, I deposited the amount of 5000/- Rs. in their ICICI Bank account of Bangalore.

I was promised before the payment was made, that the database will be sent to me within 30 mins of they receiving the money in their account. But they took 2 days to send me the database.

The database which they sent was of very old (around 8-10 years old) with most of the numbers disconnected. We tried calling atleast 1000 odd random numbers from each file they sent and 90% numbers were wrong numbers, out of service, disconnected etc.

I tried calling them back, Mr. Rakesh NEVER PICKED UP THE PHONE ONCE THE PAYMENT WAS DONE.

I also spoke to someone called as Mr. Prashant, he assured me they will look into "my problem" but never responded back.

I sent around 4 mails after that but they dont reply back.

Planning to lodge a complaint with Indian Consumer Court soon.

PLEASE PEOPLE : DO NOT DEPOSIT THE MONEY IN THEIR ACCOUNT BEFORE YOU RECEIVE AND CHECK THEIR ENTIRE DATABASE.

THEY SEND SAMPLE BUT THE SAMPLES ARE VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE ACTUAL DATA.
