Punjab National Bank [PNB] — Deactivation/Deregistration of SMS Alerts and associated charges

Address: Dehradun, Uttarakhand, 248001

I am a holding PNB Saving account. I had given many request in written to PNB to deregister SMS alert service on my mobile number but looks like they are not processing it. And for this reason they are debiting my account for SMS alert every quarter which I don;t need.

I am fed up with this carelessness attitude of staffs of bank of national stature. First without my consent they automatically activated SMS alerts and started debiting my account every quarter and now they are not even deregistering me from this service inspite of giving written application many times.

Why PNB is not providing option in ATM or via internet banking to deregister SMS alert service? All they have provided the option to register which they automatically do and start stealing innocent customer's money every quarter in the name of service.

PNB bank is charge unfair amount to their a/c holders. If they debited the amount for the sms service then why they not sending any transaction msg. I do two transaction of crediting the mony but i don't get any msg. But deuction of sms service is continuasly had.
My Savings Account at PNB is being deducted for SMS alerts. When i get a subsidy amount in my account, they won't send me an SMS. PNB says the transaction should be of value greater than 5000 INR for receiving SMS alerts.

In a savings account, how many transaction could be more than 5000 INR. Charging 15 INR +Tax, there should be no limit. As the customer is paying for the facility.

Why have a limit and charge for SMS alert, when the limit is too high for a savings account.
Please change my mobile number.
Otherwise please stop pnb sms skirts.

Your bank debited huge before than for the sms service charges.
We r not use this services but debited automatically after deposit or withdrawal money.
Passbook is not updated usually in your bank.
SBI recently no debited the sms charges. We r ordinary people, how much get interest that the sms charges will be debited minimum Rs. 17.70 per quarter?
It too much your business policy.
We have to change the bank nearby other banks are available.
