We went to pspcl office, kotkapura for paying our electricity bill on 09/10/2018 at around 01:30 p. M. We always pay the bill amount through cheque, as this is one of the secure means of money transfer. Yesterday when we went there, the person sitting at suvidha centre (Where cheques are deposited in kiosk) refused to accept the cheque and asked us to deposit at physical window.
We went to physical window and the person sitting over there also refused to accept the cheque and told us that we accept only multicity cheques. We asked him to provide us with a written circular or an official notification, where it is written that only multicity cheques are accepted. But he refused to provide any of these. We said him that if he can’t provide us with any circular or notification, then he has to accept the cheque and provide us with payment receipt. To this, he reacted in anger and used foul words (Just like an illiterate person uses in anger). Also, he forced us to write on a paper that if the cheque is not cleared then we will pay interest and penalty.
This was a complete harassment and dictatorship by an illiterate and inefficient government employee. If he can’t provide us with any written circular/notification then how he can force us to provide anything in writing.
Moreover, it is a routine practice in this office, by the employees sitting there, to unnecessary harass the customers and never giving a proper reply for any query. They just enjoy the government salary and perks for doing nothing.
It’s our humble request to you, kindly get into the matter and take strict action against such kind of employees, specifically the one mentioned above. Due to these employees only, government departments are lagging behind and the image is deteriorating day-by-day.
