I have booked a flight from MAA to ATL Via Doha on 12 Mar 2024 with booking id: EMT[protected] from Ease My Trip with PNR: 5XX98T. On 14 Mar 2024, I have got 2 emails with first one mentioned as one of the sector DOH-ATL was cancelled by the Qatar Airlines and the next email was another flight been automatically rescheduled for the next day by the Qatar Airlines itself. I have called the customer care regarding the same. They confirmed that as there is no other alternate flight on the same day of departure, I am eligible for full refund. Based on their response, I have raised cancellation request from the easemytrip app 15 Mar 2024. The request has been submitted succesfully and later after 15 days, that is, on 01 Apr 2024; I have got an email revert from EaseMyTrip stating that the airlines had denied for the full refund. After seeing that email, I was literally shocked and called to EaseMyTrip customer care immediately.
I explained the entire situation to the executive and he advised me again to raise the cancellation request and this time I would get the full refund within a maximum time frame of 72 hours. To my surprise, the issue was still in pending and refund is not issued from the EaseMyTrip. I really don't know who is playing with me whether the qatar airlines OR EaseMyTrip. As per the rules, if there is no alternate flight for the same day infact to say more than 6 hours; I am eligible for full refund. It's been a month already and yet I am totally vexed with EaseMyTrip support team. Hence I am approaching consumer forum so that I will get a resolution along with full refund in quick time.
