Hello, I came in contact with Connect team during my office opening in Chandigarh City Center as they have a monopoly in the area and due to lack of other service providers we went ahead with the Connect Broadband. We did not face any problem as such but when we decided due to move our office to other location "Connect Broadband Team started showing their true colours". I notified their customer care team that we are changing our office location and due to non availability of their service in the new location we need to change our broadband provider hence we do not need their services and requested them to disconnect the service as soon as possible.
Initially we paid them advance for 6 months time period in advance. No dues were left from our end as we moved out before the advance period.
TIme Period: Feb'22 - August'22 (Advance Paid in Full)
When Connect customer service heard about us shifting the location they started drama and never told us about the disconnection process. I have proofs in chat where I am consistently asking them to disconnect the services to which they never shown interest and kept on misguiding us.
They kept on generating bills and to which I even paid for one when we were not even using their services at all and during my payment I made sure that disconnection will be done on time. (Proofs are with me regarding the payment done in the month Of September) All chats, disconnection email and voice recordings will be shared.
Router was submitted and since a guy physically came and collected it, I recorded a video of him as I have dealt with companies like these before and one need to keep a recorded evidence of everything.
Surprisingly even after all this they generated two more bills and asked me to pay for the same. Though the amount was not big enough still why shall I pay to these fraudsters. Connect team should be taking care of customers rather to loot every customer once they decide to disconnect the service.
I have found many complaints regarding these "Disconnection requests" and their modus operandi is similar as they wont disconnect the service and will keep on generating the bills.
Apparently, Connect Broadband has lost few consumer court cases earlier (One is published just google it in the name of Connect broadband and if you will find it.. happened in 2019 where court directed them to pay the fine and penalty.
At present, they are sending me a message daily stating to pay the required amount and legal fees etc. Or contact on a particular number for the settlement.
