As confirmed by our field representatives, the meter was inspected at your premises, on 04/04/2016, in your presence.
On inspection, the meter was found to be working within the prescribed limits of accuracy. A letter explaining the same has been sent to your registered billing address.
Trust this addresses the concern raised by you. In case u wish for further investigation, you can get ur meter tested in a lab, by paying a nominal refundable fee by visiting our nearest Customer Care Center.

It is very disappointing to receive such a reply from you side.
Your person did come 2 times, he checked the reading on day 1 and check the reading on day 3 and noticed an average of 18 units per day which means approx 550 units a month whereas the last bill has 1400+ units which is impossible to happen.
Your representative then said he is taking the reading of last 3 months daily usage from the meter through some computer and will come back to us.
Until now we have not received any information.
Also to inform you please look into the last 6-12 months unit reading we have never even gone close to 1400+ unit maximum has been 500-600 units during peak.
How can you prove that this not a meter issue? Electronics can sometime act funny? Did your team even take the meter for investigation?
It is very much not possible that suddenly a residential bill can go up from Rs. 3500 to Rs. 14, 500+
You are hereby requested to further investigate this matter and offer a permanent solution and not cheat on customers

Also this is very surprising to read that you being Reliance you are asking customer to take the meter, i am sure with the kind of charges being charged by yourself you are suppose to offer such services at door step.
I ask for a meter change & request you to please take up to the highest authority, if required I am willing to visit you office in case a meeting can be arranged with your most senior official who has powers and capable of discussing on this issue face to face.

My electricity bill spiked up by 5x ! From an average unit consumption of 400-500 it's gone up to 2000 and the bill is 23000! This when one wasn't even in town for a good ten days!! After sending a mail and calling customer care umpteen times I got an Automated response saying that the meter was checked and everything is okay!! No call no nothing! I don't even know if and when someone came!
This is unacceptable and I refuse to pay this extortion amount. I would like to take this matter to the higher ups or court if need be. Any help and tips are welcome
