I made a purchase for over Rs. 2451.50 including various shirts and tees from Reliance Trends (Fun Republic Mall), Coimbatore Branch on Saturday 04th July 2015.
(CIN No: 001100MH1999PLC[protected]hrs #0067 C0873 - are some details provided in the invoice.
I got two t-shirts that were placed under the flat 199/- section and after billing was done, I reached home and later found out that only one of the t-shirts was billed 199 and the other one was charged 299 instead of the stated price.
I went to the store to enquire this matter in person and the lame reason that the employees gave me was that a half of those t-shirts were wrongly placed that day(which they had changed the next day i suppose post the phone call I made to their store for a change or compensation for the t-shirt on the same evening of incident).
The incharge of the section gave such an irresponsible answer stating that it happened by mistake and the 100 rupees balance amount could not be compromised or be made an exchange as it was on offer.
When the offer itself wasn't and the mistake being on their part for placing the wrong apparels with wrong price tags, Is the customer held liable for cutomers loss due the the shopkeeper??!
Primarily to check the items are billed correctly is the store's job and not the customers'.
Their policies are absolutely mean, neither can one exchange the product nor can be refunded even if the mistake was on the billers part is what came from the mouth of the store personnel.
I wonder how many more customers were billed the same way and cheated, because either ways here, the customer is the individual getting hurt no matter whatever is wrong on their side.
They said they could be nothing more than sorry for the issue as their payment system was online. They should hold amount from the biller or the respective section's incharge's pay fault for a fault they made!!! How come the consumer being is made to bear the charges.
I request Consumer Complaints Forum to take severe action against the store if not for individual, for the other potential consumer's safety, Charging the store for being so lame and irresponsible with the policies that are totally consumer exploiting and practicing cheap cheat means of selling their products.
