Reserve Bank Of India [RBI] — local trader not accepting 10 rupee coin

Dear sir,
i am a student of class 10. i read in my textbook that no one in the country can refuse the indian currency, but the uncle who operates our nearby shop do not accept the 10 ruppee coin. as a i am a student, my parents won't allow me to go to police station and do all that legal work. what i can do is just tell you people. i tried calling thr rbi helpline number, but there was no annswer. that's not fair, do something . PLEASE.
