[Resolved]  Little Italy Hyderabad — Mineral Water bottle charged more than thrice the MRP

I recently visited Little Italy, an Italian Restaurant in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. On asking for a bottle of Mineral Water, they charged us Rs 60 (exculsive of taxes like Service tax, Service Charge and VAT). The total bill for the bottle was Rs 76. On checking the MRP on the bottle, it was written Rs 20 for 1 litre.

I understand that there are special marketed products in Airports etc where even a packet of wafers (normally costing Rs 20 outside) will cost Rs 45 which is acceptable as the MRP is same as the selling price. But in the above case, when the MRP is Rs 20/- it is outlandish for a restaurant to charge Rs 60 for it.

Please take up my case as such overcharging is against Rule 18(2) of Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules.

MINERAL WATER — CHARGING MORE THAN MRP

THESE VENDORS ON PLATFORM AT THE RAILWAY STATION CHARGING MORE THAN THE MRP MENTIONED. THIS HAPPENS ON ALL THE PRODUCTS. THE WORST CASE IS VENDORS WHO COME IN BOGIE TO SELL EVEN THEY TOO CHARGE EXTRA. WHEN I ASKED THEM REGARDING THIS, HIS REPLY WAS. MY PANTRY MANAGER SAID TO SELL MORE THAN MRP HE SAID. WATS HAPPENING. THEY ARE ENJOYING LIKE BLOOD SUCKERS.

classic restaurant — charging more than MRP

classic restaurant, iit main gate, is charging more than the MRP for soft drinks.... Rs. 30 instead of 25. I want to take action against this one of the many restaurants looting the consumers. Hope you would soon respond urgently to this complaint.

MINERAL WATER — Charging double than MRP

In Oberoi mall, Goregaon, Mumbai, took two bottols of mineral water. Please find the attached bill. They always charge double than MRP. What to do? I have the original bill and also scan. I can send by email.
